Speaking from a position of almost total ignorance I think you can mount
a sub-woffer almost anywhere you can find space because they are
non-directional; sounding the same no matter where the sound is coming from.
Dont take my word for it but I believe it's true. If so it would widen the
mounting possibilities.
I heard that a while back when I was thinking of installing a "fancy"
stereo in the Westy. After shopping around and listening to a bunch of
systems that all sounded to me just like the "El-Cheapo" I have now; I came
to the happy and considerably less expensive conclusion that I am a
tin-eared Philistene and decided to keep the junk I have For once I had the
budget to match my taste.
