i know i am about to commit a crime...and we should not conduct this discussion on
the list, but i must respond to your attack on my honor ...i'll do a quick westlaw
search tomorrow and get back to you privately on the 10 cases. I would also note that
corporations are every bit as much like pigs at a trough when it comes to collecting
on those insurance policies you mention, and sue to collect on them far more often
than joe consumer....although the insurance companies generally deserve it. They make
tons more money if they do not honor their contractual obligations in good faith and
instead force you (or injured third parties) to sue them for coverage ...they thus
walk as fine a line as they can and generate LOTS of litigation. There are also more
than a few patent and intellectual property cases brought to destroy or hinder
competitors. Most frivolous tort cases, in contrast, filed by ordinary people (who
do not have $50,000 or $100,000 or $1,000,000 to blow in attorney fees on a weak case)
die a rather qucik and humiliating death...to the glee of defense counsel who get to
bill for exposing a sham. Juries don't coddle fakers, liars and cheats, either.
They slam them, as they should, whether they are plaintiffs or defendants.
i'll say no more on this topic on the list, i promise! My apologies.
