I would agree that San Luis Obispo / Morro Bay should be on your list of places to visit, but unless kitsch is high on your list, I'd stay
somewhere besides the Madonna Inn. If you've got a Westy, stay at Montana de Oro state campground. The coastline along there is just as
beautiful as the Monterey coast, in my opinion. Safe travels!
