Hi Rick,

I’ve had to do this job way too many times, usually due to failing CV boots.

But I would recommend you note the info Dennis wrote.

I’ve never heard anything about a gasket on the CV joint. Also, never would consider putting lock tight. I highly recommend getting good bolts and washers. The triple square ones not the Allen head ones.

Look at the T3 sight for good info.

Also, check your CV boots. If failing replace with the ones from T3. They are softer, have more flexibility, and a warranty. His bolts, washers, and grease are right for the job.
