Subject: Cruise Control Vacuum
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8

Hi all! I have not contributed in a few years...actually more.  But now I have a question!  Trying to get my cruise control working on my 91 Carat.  Have done the following: - Went through all procedures in Bentley...passed all of them.  Actually the resistance on the VSS was high...but have seen posts by other stating theirs was the same with working cruise control. - Checked for vacuum leaks. Two leaks found...both repaired...airtight now. Still no cruise control. I put a vacuum gauge on the vacuum pump and ran it.  It is very weak...only generating 1 pound of vacuum.  This seems very low to me.  Can anyone validate what the appropriate vacuum should be?
