Subject: Rear window removal tips?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hi folks,

I need to remove my rear window so we can fix some rust that started under the seal. The seal is fairly new so still supple.

I thought before I move ahead I would ask those that have done this before.

I have prepared the hatch, all items like curtains and wires are gone. Rear wiper arm is off.

It looks like a two person job, but if I can get it out so that future helpers can get right to work on the rust part that would be great.

I was considering working on it with the hatch up. Then pull the rubber out of the way with a length of thick rope. Then hopefully lift the window up and out. I could cut the rubber but if it is removed without playing with sharp knives that would be nice.

Tips are greatly appreciated.

Eric Caron
