Subject: Support handle for passenger compartment
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8

Hi folks,

I’ve never seen this done, but I decided to install a VW handle, the same as used on the door, or the A pillar for the passenger to get in, to the B pillar near the lower part of the seat belt.

The purpose is to make it easier to step into or out of the van. As we get older, a little support handle seemed like a good idea.

I used the same angled pieces used by the A pillar handle to tilt it away from the seat belt. I could not be happier with the results! It makes stepping into the van much easier, and stepping out is a bit easier when going forward, but if you are willing to step out backwards it makes stepping down much easier.

These handles are so nice.

If you add one to the A pillar driver side, then use the mark Drillock trick on the slider door, and then this one on the B pillar for the slider opening, that is three extra handles. They make van camping and travel much easier.

Anyone have any other mods using these handles I don’t know about?

Eric Caron
