Regarding the 86+ headlights, it sounds like a bad bulb. The outer bulbs are dual filament ones and one of yours has partially failed and only works in low beam mode. They are NOT low beam bulbs. They are dual filament bulbs, for both high and low beam.A weaker filament turns on for low beams, in each of the outer bulbs. When you switch to high beams that weaker filament turns off and a brighter filament turns on.From your description the brighter filament in that outer bulb has likely failed. It is also possible that the wiring socket has a bad contact for that bulb as these socket contacts sometimes burn out.
