CONFIRM command within the next 14 days.
In order to facilitate the task, this message has been specially
formatted so that you only need to forward it back to
LISTSERV@GERRY.VANAGON.COM to have the command executed. Note that while
the formats produced by the forwarding function of most mail packages are
supported, replying will seldom work, so make sure to forward and not
reply.

One of the great things about the Vanagon mailing list is the large
quantity of information exchanged by the members. In order to ensure the
availability of this information, submitters to the vanagon mailing list
agree to grant the list managers a license for electronic and printed
distribution of submitted articles as part of a larger compilations of
information of interest to VW owners. List managers and their agents also
have the right to make edits which, in their sole opinion, improve the
clarity of the submission. Submitters warrant that, as far as they know,
they have the right to submit the material in question for publication.
All compilations will be not-for-profit, with any excess proceeds going
to the Vanagon mailing list.
Submitters who do not wish to grant this license, or who prefer their
material be excluded from such publications, may decline this waiver by
including the following phrase at the bottom of their message:
"All Rights Reserved."
(Note that since postings will be culled by software, the spelling and
capitalization of this phrase must be exact.)
Any dispute arising out of or having any connection with the [vanagon
list] or this agreement shall be settled exclusively by arbitration in
San Francisco, California, before the American Arbitration Association
(and pursuant to its rules) by an arbitrator with expertise in
intellectual property law and the internet. The arbitrator's award shall
be final and binding. Any disputes concerning the scope or meaning of
this agreement shall be decieded by the arbitrator. The costs of the
arbitration process shall be split equally by the parties.
