Eric,
It’s just a plastic disc between the table and the leg. Nothing super fantastic , but gives a nicer feel to the table when knob tightened.
The holder, either in the cabinet or behind the drivers seat, is a bugger. I’ve had a few people tell me that they can’t tighten the knob enough to stop it from moving. That’s why a lot of us have fiddled with other restraints ( Velcro, magnets, etc) to keep the table top in place against the wall when driving.
It’s not the greatest design, but what to do? A cam based torniquet?
