c. Work on my AUDIOVOX CCS100 CRUISE CONTROL, as it is only working under 45
mph right now.
I love my CCS100. Here are a couple tips I've learned:1. If you are using magnets on rear axle CV joint for speed pickup, replace the magnets that come with the kit with modern rare-earth magnets...more reliable. I beefed up the mounting bracket too....sometimes I would hit a bump in the road and the unit would disengage, presumably because bracket was floppy. Stronger magnets allow for a little more clearance between pickup and the magnets with no compromise in engagement.
2. Adding a vacuum accumulator (I got mine at Napa years ago) really makes a difference too for instant and assured engagement.3. Every couple years, my control buttons get funky; I think it is silicone oil bleed from the rubber switch. I just use rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab to gently clean both PCB and conductive rubber pucks on switch, and then everything is good again for a couple more years.
I can look up how I set all the DIP switches on the servo if you think that's where you are having issues; I'm quite pleased with my settings which have stayed the same on both the 1.9 engine and now the 2.2 Subie engine. BTW, my Vanagon is a Manual not an Automatic.

Update on the idle issue with my 2.1L
1. Removed water in gas, stalling issue resolved (added Seafoam to fuel two
tanks)
2. lifter noise noticed, so added Seafoam to oil which helped a bit, but
still tap-tap-tap.
3. removed valve cover and found lifter on #2 cyl loose, adjusted all to
specs 1.5 turns in from initial point of contact. I have a quite motor for
the first time in years!
4. still running a little rough, so pulled plugs and checked gap, all NSK
plugs were at .045 gap, so adjusted to .028 gap. (I now have power to
accelerate in 2nd gear, for the first time in a long time).
Still to do...
a. New Spark Plug wires on order, installing next week. Probably didn't
need to do this, but what the heck, pretty cheap, and can't hurt.
b. Summer oil-change (considering 10w40 LubiMoly, as my motor has less than
90k orig. miles)
c. Work on my AUDIOVOX CCS100 CRUISE CONTROL, as it is only working under 45
mph right now.
I also added a stealth Solar panel set-up, 110w, for under $300!
I'll post pictures, links to items purchased and the rest of story on
another e-mail.
Looking forward to doing some boondocking camping this summer, staying away
from others.
Due to COVID, my full-time job was eliminated last week, so I'm retired for
now... and may just stay that way and do some camping and consulting on the
side!

Thanks for checking Eric!
Spend the weekend watching YouTube videos, and reading.
I'm hopeful that I can get to taking temp readings this week, and running
some diagnostics to determine if it is a stuck valve before taking it out on
the road.
Question to the list, if I have a suck valve, what are your thoughts on:
1. Driving the vehicle short distances, less than 20 miles
2. Adding SeaFoam or other additive to the oil to help release the valve
3. Degree of difficulty to do a mechanical repair
I hesitate to through parts at problems.

Hi Jack,
Any updates on your idle issue?
I hope it was a simple as the water in the gas you were checking out.
Any more info or a resolution?
Eric
