Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. Ken, your suggestion was the
winner. I rotated the switch back and forth several times, then started the
engine, and tested the switch. It works fine now. My guess is that the
contacts were a little corroded from lack of use this winter. It's really
nice to have the air conditioner is working again.
