Hi Jeff,
I used Fat Matt, I think that is the same product sold at Go Westie. I got it on sale at amazon for a large amount a few years ago. I did large portions of the van. I recently had to look inside a few panels and it is holding up just fine.
I like the sound deadening on the road and off.
When I ride in vans without it we need to talk very loudly to hear each other. In my van it is much easier to hear with a normal voice even with passengers in the back. I also did areas more fully and also more areas then most would recommend. I like being able to walk around my van and tap panels and hear a nice solid thunk. The sliding door, the hatch, and the front doors sound so solid compared to before.
even the nose sounds more solid even though I couldn’t reach everything.
I still need to do behind the cabinets and such but that will wait until I need to get in there for another reason.
I’m very happy with the result. the material was easy to cut with a utility knife, no mess. forgiving If I made a error. no smell. and lasting nicely.
