I am under the impression that the " Vapor " Barrier is there to keep the door panel
material Dry in the Event that H2O gets into the Door Somehow ( & it does ) ~ So why not
simply Coat the DoorPanel with a H2O Proofing Material, be it SelfStick or GluedOn Plastic
or some PaintOn or SprayOn Substance & never have to be bothered with it again ~
