Mike, thank you for the kind words and it was my great pleasure to meet you at the hangar last month. Our 1990 Westy (yes, purchased new,) has 110,000 camping miles on it. It's not our daily driver and it's been garaged (or hangared) in Southern California it's whole life. The van (but I still refer to it as The Bus out of habit) is my hobby. I'm always keeping after it, fussing with it, upgrading it, modifying it.My wife and I took our honeymoon in it, brought our daughter home from the hospital in it and will drive her to her wedding in it.I'm proud to be a Westy owner and honored to be a part of this awesome online group. I don't post often, but I read every single email that others send. And whether I'm working on the bus or the G650, I try to live by the motto a wise old mechanic shared with me: "The way I do anything is the way I do everything."Warm regards to you all,Mike Magnani

As for pictures, I'm fascinated by cameras, and other techy stuff, like aircraft and motorcycles, that I neither use if I have them nor want to spend the money on them.
And Neil, I can pretty much guarantee my van is pretty much in the same vein as yours and he wouldn't mind us parking near him, as long as we wrapped our vans in plastic.

I think he has a time machine and went back and got it, so I guess that means he bought it new but ...
Any way the van, and he and his wife, had just gotten back from a several thousand mile trip. So not a garage queen, just a guy who really likes his machinery kept nicely and has the time and talent to make it so.

I'm confused. Why does his having kept, or made, his camper sparkling make
it a lie that he bought it new? Just wondering.
