That's a perfect complement to the Propex heater for a Vanagon! Never losing coolant is entirely possible for a small unit with soldered copper plumbing. Not possible in automotive systems with their rubber hoses and threaded fittings.
You'll see more of these sorts of devices as battery technology catches up with today's incredible small motor technology. Soon you'll be able to build one in right next to your Propex under the seat, just wait! Maybe even have an under dash option someday. I can see tremendous opportunity in the "old car hobby."
