OK. Dennis. Getting the system flushed is not a problem. Changing out the
receiver/drier not a problem. Done the before myself. Have a near new
expansion valve. Has been operated only one season, but that thing was a
bear to replace and definitely wouldn't want to do that any time in the
near future. It was brand new from Peter at VC, but please, please spare me
on that one.
I fully understand the need to flush, but are you saying stick with the
R134a? It is definitely being phased out.I'm pretty sure that R152 is going
to be it's replacement. To many things going for it.
BTW, Dust Off is "canned air" for cleaning computers. Uses difluoroethane.
Others of the same ilk use R134a as canned air and it's blowned directly
into the air! Just thought I'd mention it. Seems the EPA can't get it's
collective act together
