If the problem is a rusty tank, and I'm inclined to agree, then is the only
solution to buy a new tank? This is a bummer since the PO had replaced the
tank with a new one not long before the transmission failed and he parked
it.
I read somewhere on the samba that some guy had drained the tank and
cleaned it with muriatic acid. Anyone tried this?
