I just bought a set of HID conversion bulbs that I am going to try in some
DOT spec housings. If I don't like the way it turns out I will probably
just convert some broken DOT housings to Cibie H4 by modifying the
reflector into a mount for the H4 light. You break out the glass and cut
down the reflector until you can expoxy the new housing to it. Done this
before and it looks very stock. I would then try some led bulbs from
Amazon that are H4. Amazon has some highly rated 9004 conversion kits if
someone wants to try a set in your DOT housings.
Just some ideas.
