Here is my two cents I have been tent camping/rving all my life I do not care for hotels taking luggage up and down and sleeping on someone else's bed. I have own pop-ups, travel trailers, 5th wheels and currently a 2013 class C. Trailers vs motor home you are going to pay the piper one way or another you tow you uncouple you have your vehicle, depending what your towing and what you are towing it with your MPG will suffer  dramatically. When you compare the MPG difference MH/TT it does no amount to much. Motorhome you tow your vehicle they tow very well all 4 down stay away from tow dollies also tow a stick shift much cheaper to set up than automatic in either case the Piper wins New vs used, size and price that depends on your wallet and how much comfort you want there is lot of difference between coachman and an airstream. If you go used be very aware of water damage and mildew any stains on walls ceilings walk away no matter what the Seller tells you. RV companies usually warranty their rubber roof to original owners between 10 to13 years. If you want to  tow than I would suggest a 5th wheel they follow you like a puppy they do not sway when trucks pass you they are much safer than TT. My recommendation MH and tow a vehicle. Good luck
