You are not supposed to have any reflective tint on car windows,
according to some cops...most especially frowned upon on the front
windows....
I do see 'mirror tints' on those giant rolling McMotorhomes and they seem
to get by unmolested by the police, so maybe they've decided it is ok now.
Back in those same 70's. the Utah state troopers were especially uptight
about windows and vehicles. They opined that having a dark tint on your
windows was the same as admitting you were doing something bad
inside....And they really hated silver reflective tint. They stopped one
of my pals in his Bay Window westie, passing through Utah, for having
reflective film camper windows on his van....pulled him and his GF out and
patted them down (she was a really stunning blonde), searched the whole
van...and found a small roach...of the smoking type...impounded his van,
put them both in jail. It cost him a bundle to get free and get his van
back...
