wow..
that's a killer job..the commute .
that costs the equivalent of tearing up two one hundred dollar bills every
time you get in the car to drive to work.
I know a man's gotta have work and income of course.
if you're self-employed...you get ..to work 70 hr weeks ..
no benefits, your own boss, do what you want when you want.
factor in the risk element of that much driving ..likely during commuter
hours ..
that would be equal to any high-risk endeavor you can think of. People get
killed and severely injured every day ..
I consider myself an exceptionally safe and aware driver..
and yet people have been killed in an instant from someone else getting a
heart attack , or being distracted, while driving or whatever.
800 miles a week ..just to get to a job ..
man ..how about go there for 3 1/2 days and work 15 hour days ..
you'd be miles ahead.
don't mean to be critical..and I know you gotta do what you gotta do ..
but this is what kills people ..from stress if nothing else.
it could be illegal ...it's so ..whatever ..'unhealthy.'
Real sad to see that so many people have to make a living commuting by
driving.
the wasted energy would pay off the national debt in two years.......it's
that dysfunctional.
hopefully there are no badly stuck cv joint screws on your upcoming CV joint
job.

the last trans I pulled out of an 84 in a pick-n-pull yard..
every last inner cv joint screw was beyond 'desperately stuck ..
combine that with the van not very high in the air ..
golf ball size rocks to lay of for a working surface..
that one was a lot of fun, but we prevailed.
also .. a great option for you...
get another whole heater box/unit out of an 84 or 85 or so ..
and rebuild that a little bit at a time, then do one swapa-roo...
and fix that job commute thing.
or get a rear heater box and bolt it to the dash with plumbers tape..
aim at windshield...
connect two alligator clips for 'defrost' ..the inspectors will love that !
