I'll second that, I've been to NOC three times - and the drive through the
mountains is fun -the western road has like 325 curves? While I'd rather raft or
kayak, I think there is a Dolly Parton "ranch" to the north?

Western North Carolina? Go to the Nantahala Outdoor Center just up
Hwy 19 from Bryson City and pick an activity. Maybe an hour from
