Well There are allot of Options from Cheap / Expensive, Super to
Junk. Do you want to put holes in your van to install? Is wind, Rain
or Sun and issue and How long do you want it to last??
I have seen almost all Awnings Made from the Cheap to the Expensive
and I have been at campgrounds and watched them fold up over the Van
or Fold over on themselves. Some of the retractable are nice and easy
but wind will play Hell on them and they are Very Expensive to repair
and or find replacement parts. Do you want a free standing. How long
to you want to spend setting it up or breaking it down and how much
room in the Van does it take??
Sorry for all the silly questions but you need to know what your
budget is and what your willing to install on the VW and will it hold
up in the environment your going to put it in??
Now for some Fun!!
I have been Designing a Simple to install Awning for the Westy. Sorry
No others just the Westy, Will also fit Bays from 74. But here is a
link. It is not in full swing yet but I have made 5 and customers
have been happy with them but they are the ones that want the fancy
Custom Colors and have special wants.
We also make the Vintage style frame awning that can also Handle Mega
Winds and rain. I know because I have had both in some less then
favorable weather. I travel with the Side Awning but if I set up a
Base camp for more then 3-4 days I take the frame awning or the
Original side tent pending my needs.
Here is the link to confuse you with yet 1 more awning for your VW Bus!!
