Yup, what Scott said. I did this on my '82, as I figured any oem tank I
found was likely 20+ years old and due to fail soon anyway. The '86+ tank
works fine, and is cheap at various sources, got a new one for my '88 when I
converted it also. Plan for a different mounting scheme, but with the '82
battery box style mount, it's fairly simple.
