You need to adjust the "bullet" catches on the underside of the
stovetop lid. They screw in and out to adjust the firmness of grip on
the drain plate, which is probably what is rattling.
You'll need a thin screwdriver to fit into the tiny slots to each side
of the spring-loaded "bullet."
