I didn't do my handles just yet, because I got stuck on removing the locks or tumblers, esp the sliding door.
As far as the vent wing frames, and the window wipers, no prep was needed, I used Olympic Powder Coating in Santa Ana and they did everything. I believe they sand blast it, but didn't ask. I did however, waste a fair amount of time, trying to use rust converter on the wing frames, and sanding them and then using Black Trim by SEMS, which did not turn out well at all. The powder coating job turned out a lot better, and I didn't have to prep them at all. The finish is even now, whereas before it was uneven, from the original paint that remained.
