Hot Dog !
a real, in person, in real time...........ACTUAL report on the near
mythical ( on the west coast ) Zetec conversion !
thank you Andrew.
In all the months and years even of being aware of the Zetec conversion
and Bostig.......................I think this is about the FIRST actual,
first person, 'live' report i have ever seen.
the Automatic sucks up gas badly- my 85 Wolfsburg Weekender with 2.1
waterjoker engine and auto trans , is 16 mpg at 65ish on the highway. I
consider 18 mpg to be the rock bottom acceptable figure. Hope his Zetec
is doing at least that.
I haven't been to Bainbridge Island for a while. It's the bane of
western washington !! - couldn't resist !
Beautiful place !
So $ 10K after professional shop installation. That's about right I
reckon.
thanks again,
and really.............this is the first 'from the horse's , ANY horse's
mouth' report I have seen yet on this particular conversion.
seems they keep it all in house very tightly - or so it appears to me
from 'over here.'
