This is a gasoline auto. I did run a Carfax and found a couple of issues
which may or may not be problems.
As for the rest of yous,
Thanks for your replies but I was more interested in the aggregate. i.e.
When I say Diesel Westy, you say SLOW. Basically, when a 'known' system
(trans, A/C, engine) or make (Skoda, Aeroflat, Flying Pigeon) is reputed to
be a problem everyone steers clear. I've heard Mexico Jettas are notorious
for electrical fires. I've even steered clear of 'em in the past as soon as
I had the VIN and confirmed CoO. I was unclear of the type of experience I
was asking about. I wasn't asking about a given specimen but rather a large
sampling (worldwide).
So, . . . my original question restated is: Do Mexican Golfs have the
electrical problems like the Mexican Jettas?
I'm assuming Jetta's DO have issues, I didn't actually find the data
anywhere but after meeting owner after owner, got 'bad feeling'.
