Ever since AT&T took over Bellsouth I have had nothing but problems on
my Broad Band. for a month, I would be off line sometime during every
day, and some days I would be off line for 24 hours. As it turns out,
the AT&T merger gave AT&T the only two "Spines' in Alabama, and my cable
internet company - Charter communications - rents from AT&T. So I am
really stuck. It AT&T so much as twitches, everybody downstream
twitches. My service has always been very good with Charter and I have
to give them kudos for it, but lately it has really sucked. If this is
the case elsewhere with the merger, I can see how others would have
problems. I also have AT&T cell service - over my objections, but that
is another story - and the number of drop-outs has increased
astronomically since going AT&T. Frustrates me to death.
