Jim,
I tossed my OEM faucet-disaster and went to a ShurFlo. Got mine at
West Marine. Search the West Marine site for # 296493. Its the single
tap with switch. I got the version with the switch so that I could
attach a foot-operated switch to it. The foot operated switch lives in
the sink cabinet when not in use. Its very handy to have a foot
operated switch when you hands are wet and dirty but its not needed.
You can get the same ShurFlo without the extra switch but you'll have
the knob on the faucet to turn it on and off. Foot switches can be had
for a few bucks at any decent electronic parts store. Here's mine: http://vickersdesign.com/vanagon/foot_switch.jpg
Here's a few pics of the installed faucet:

That round white plastic plate at the bottom of the faucet---between
the faucet and the sink---is actually a door knob wall bumper/
protecter that I got at Home Desperate. It works really well as a base
gasket for the faucet.
When you take the OEM faucet out, you will see that there is a hole
there that will be bigger than what you need for the ShurFlo faucet
which means that you need something larger than the sink hole to cover
it up. The door bumper works great and you can drill a hole in it to
fit the ShurFlo nice and snug. You might even consider drilling the
hole for the ShurFlo a little off center so that the faucet is closer
to the sink. I thought of that AFTER I did mine. Doh.
The ShurFlo flips up and down so it get out of the way of the stove
lid. The head of the faucet can also be turned side to side to rinse
the sink better. Great faucet.
