'most torqey'......pumped up tdi's and SVX 3.3 subaru engines come to mind.
Torque is nice, but so is a rippin' high end too. I just got this 98 Impreza
subaru 2.2 engine running right ............and it is sweet. It rips. Toque
is ok, but it's not a torque monster of course being a 2.2, but when you
have a nice lively rising upper rpm range....that's nice too, very
rewarding.
This diesel westy with this engine...............there is just no
difference between 60 and 75 mph in it. It's always getting right into its
power band the faster you go.
It depends on what you want of course.
I do like a rising power curve as opposed to one that comes on strong right
away and then fades gradually. But 'it depends' on what you want really.
