I get Prolong in most FLAPS. Schuck's sell it. Great stuff, perfect combo
of a light grease and a penetrate.
'Debates about the abilities and characteristics about WD-40 are only
exceeded by the amount of debates about engine oil types, grades, and
properties."
I.e. don't want to hear it. I 'know' it lubricates, says so on the can. I
had this one friend.........he would always say 'I heard that wd-40 just
*cleans* the metal'.............all I can say is do what works for you !
In my neck of the woods the WD they sell also happens to lubricate, but You
should never use it for a lube.
ATF sounds fine.
Lightly, scott

WD-40 is not really a lubricant, long term anyway. It's more of a
water displacer and penetrant.
I've heard of people rejuvinating fan motors with a few drops of ATF
on the bearings. I don't have any personal experience with the
"Prolong" stuff, where do you buy it?
