The ad sounds like a passenger van owner who's slightly bemused (*choke*) by the drastic difference between passenger Vanagon and Westy resale values.
It reminded me of the idea I had about putting up my '59 VW Bus emblem for sale as a "23 window samba in need of restoration" for $2000.

I’ve learned to ask tons of questions before driving many miles to
see a vanagon Westy “camper” that turns out to be a multivan (no
camping equipment, just poptop) – or another “westy” that had camping
equipment but no pop-top!
Always get pictures before wasting your time. How stupid do some of
these sellers think we are or are they just interested in wasting our
time?
