20 years ago I used to check into job ads on San Jose Mercury news on Sunday.
The news paper had a weekly (every Sunday) stack of job ads from all technology
companies about 4 to 5 inches thick. Each sheet of the ads was a full sheet
the size of regular news paper. I do not remember seeing any homeless people
20 years ago. Today there is not a single sheet of job ads like that. One of the
problems is that HP sells all (100%) of its PCs manufactured in China. Believe
me. There is not a single one made in USA. HP laid off more than 20,000 heads
in the past 4 years but hired another younger and cheaper 20,000 in the same period.
Most of the cheaper 20,000 were hired in Asia.
When the food chain is broken up at the top end it produces a lot of homeless at
the bottom end. That's the problem.
