Regarding the 1.9 waterboxer that comes in an 84....
I do notice that they just will not blow up or totally fail.
They have the usual head gasket problems.....
And they run crappy sometimes and can take a good while to get the glitches
out, and they could have more power ( so could 2.1's of course ) .....
But they'll do an awful lot of miles with head gasket jobs, and they almost
just do not blow up at all. Gotta like that, especially for a vw engine !

as for tiico.....well, never mind.....I'll let the others say their
