Our son is 5 years old now and he loves sleeping in the 'bus' for camping.
IIRC the pack-and-play we had would just fit nicely on the floor even with
the bed lowered. We had him sleep in this for the first two years. Now he
sleeps down below with me while mom sleeps up top.
I definitely agree with the idea that the child should stay up as late as
they want to so they are good and ready to sleep when it is time. Brendan
goes to bed when we do. Unless he falls asleep first. :-)
