Ask Chris Turner -- he's Jordanvw@aol.com --- he's in PA and he's got more
vanagon parts than you can imagine --- I stopped to pick up a few things
when I was in PA last year and I know he's got a vanagon full of various
door panels.
As for the dog, we have a now 3 year old lab that we also 'rescued'. Same
deal, severe separation anxiety. We bought one of these:

It's his bed when we're at home and we carry it in the Westy when we travel.
It rides behind the rear seat and if we want to leave Bayley in the van it
takes me about 15 seconds to setup. Because he sleeps in it, he loves it. He
actually struggles to get in it as I'm putting it together. We still
sometimes leave him in the van without the crate --- but it's nice to know
it's there if we want it.
Now that I've solved all your problems :-)
Cheers,
Doug
