I used a product called B-Quiet that I read about on
this list, starting with one 50' x 12" roll and
quickly getting two more. It's 1.15mm thick,
self-adhesive and foil backed (fronted?). They have
another type that's half again as thick.
There's one layer on the floor, under the rear seat
and over the engine, with a series of strips in a
second layer in the low flutes on the floor. Two
layers in the walls and hatch.
I looked for different insulation, but could not
easily find closed-cell foam. Since the old yellow
fluffy stuff was still dry and had not contributed to
rusting I reused that and crammed in most of a roll of
R-13 from HoDepot besides.
