Talking about car history, let's see...Driving for 21 years, and I've had
that many cars apparently:
'74 MGB ($800)
'73 Mustang (free)
'79 Rabbit ($1000)
'79 Cherokee Chief ($200)
'79 Rabbit (Free)
'79 Rabbit ($200)
'82 Olds 98 Regency ($1200)
'82 Nissan Maxima ($800)
'87 Golf ($1000)
'95 Golf ($too much)
'84 Scirocco (Free, abandoned by a friend, and possibly the most solid,
well-built car I've ever owned)
'84 Scirocco ($200)
'86 Scirocco 16V ($1800)
'85 Vanagon GL ($1200)
'85 Scirocco ($250)
'83 Subaru Wagon ($100 and one case Miller High Life)
'85 Vanagon GL ($1800)
'95 4Runner for the wife ($too much)
Currently:
'85 Vanagon Wolfsburg Westy ($3500)
'01 Passat Wagon ($wife and kid hauler--necessary cost)
'93 Corolla ($600)
Before it's all over, I hope to own:
'84 Rabbit GTI
'72 911 Targa
'76 Triumph TR6
Whew...I've always been of the opinion that you buy them cheap, then spend
what you would on a monthly payment bringing them up to shape. Then sell
and start all over again!
