That may be true if you've bought under 100 of them.
Times change and we need to change with them. Stating because you
bought D cells for "X" number of years contains no logical link for
continuing to do so. Solar panels off-set their negative
environmental impact quite quickly the more they are utilized ...
this is not true of the disposable 'D' cell.

That's the point damnit! Re-read my initial email! I've admitted to
the fact that I own and adore an environmentally challenged vehicle
and I just want us to try to do something to counter-act that
fact!!!!! Buying 8 D cells to cool ourselves for 24 hours and then
throwing them in a land-fill is irresponsible, lazy, unimaginative
and environmentally harmful ... it doesn't help anyone, including you!

What? Someone on this list attempting to insult another? I'm shocked!
Truly shocked. How could people treat each other so? With the
heightened sensitivities that you posses and the careful manner with
which you engage in discourse with others it must have been truly
shocking and upsetting.
