Subject: Re: How to remove ...
I removed all the trim on my vanagon except for those nozzels when I
repainted my vanagon. I never figured it out unless you remove the dash. The
body shop person did this and diddnt tell me hou he did it. In hind site, I
would cut the water line at the nozzel and splice in a new piece when
replacing the nozzel A nice easy rubber hose to push on..I think you have
to squeeze something at the hose/nozzel meeting point-dont really remember
exactley. To reach the drivers side I think I removes the insterment
cluster.Major pain here, but when you have already removed 9189374567 trim
pieces these last 2 have to come off!One point of comment --I see that POR
15 sells a hardnose paint that is a 2 component paint. They say that if you
brush it on, you will not get any any any brush marks. They have a beigh
color that seems identical to the vw color.Imagin just brushing on a POR
paint and getting a reasonable finish for only $200.If you have used POR 15
rust paint, you know what I mean about the brush marks disappearing as if
by magic. They say that their pigmented paints do the same. Repainting when
a dent occurs probably will not be a tramatic project either.Has anybody
tried to use these paints for the entire vanagon?
