here's the trick ... to make the wipers go speed-1, you push the lever
UP, roughly in a plane with the steering wheel. that is, just let your
fingers lift it up a notch. speed-2, two notches. for intermittent
wiping, you have to 'lift' DOWN one notch off of normally-off
position.
but!!! here's them tricky german engineers for you ... to make the
REAR wiper start up, you have to PUSH the lever away from the steering
wheel!! yup. not lift, but push. and it's not a 'notch' feeling, just
push til it clicks or feels a lot of resistance. then the rear wiper
washer starts squirting and the rear wiper starts running. it'll run
for like five or six seconds then quit. then a little while later,
it'll wipe again. and again. and keep on til you turn it off.
how to turn it off? push it again. yup. it's push-on, push-off. dufus,
but it does work.
me, i just quit using the thing. when i stop for gas, i clean the
front and rear windows and the outside mirrors and the headlights and
tail lights. just as a habit thing. :)
good luck!

Thanks for the reply.
I guess what I didn't specify is that before I started wiggling the wiper
arm the front washer spray worked fine.. Now it does not. Do you think I
messed up the wiper switch? And that's why it no longer sprays and .. Maybe
that's why the rear does not seem to work at all?
