I love this list and will never leave. However I have seen folks
leaving over the past couple of days and I just want to mention an
alternative. I have a very nice message board set up at my website that
deals specifically with Vanagons. Here is a link to the site:
http://www.vanagain.com/the_community.htm
It is nicer than the Vanagon list in some ways in that we can do surveys
to actually see what folks favorite tire is for example and we also
provide news stories that relate to the Vanagon and Eurovan. The posts
to the site are monitored by me and anything that is extremely offensive
can be easily removed. The other nice part is that anything that is
posted stays up on the site and I try to organize it in ways where it is
easy to look up articles about specific topics you want info on.
Therefore there is not a lot of the same questions asked over and over
again. If you post to the board and someone else responds you get an
email that notifies you of this. I do not use this board to "harvest"
email addresses from and it is protected from outsiders doing that by
the phpnuke site itself. So if you haven't checked it out yet please do
so.
PS I have a similar site specifically for the Eurovan at
http://www.eurovan.org
Thanks and have a great Thanksgiving!
