When the flywheel seal is not recessed into the case on the 1.9 and the 2.1
engine it rubs on the radius of the flywheel. this can make the seal spin in
place or pop out. Due to the distortion produced by the radius pushing on
the seal it tends bend open the seal opening . Also some of the silicone
orange seals on the market are too tall and will not allow you to recess it
far enough to prevent this.
The cam plugs can leak some rebuilders use silicone around the steel plugs
I prefer the rubber cam plugs.
