Get a refund! How many days/miles were on it after the work was completed.
Here in Wisconsin we have to guarantee both parts and labor, if the belt
failed before 90 days or "X" miles (I forget how many), you can return for
full replacement. Part and Labor!
My parts supply did cover such "new part" failure ( not a rare as you might
think) and in most cases even reimbursed me for my labor too.
Check with him, never hurts to ask.
