People who call other people stupid.... are stupid.
;-)
One man's trash is another man's treasure....
At anyrate, it is most always possible to state your ideas on the list
without slandering others (you will note that I did not slander you in the
above text, but rather myself)......
I have found through the last year and a half or so, of list membership,
that there will always be discussions and topics which do not particularly
interest you. We have an esoteric group here, who have wide interests, and
often really interesting senses of humor too.
So you will not be able to get rid of the various insane discussions about
things like the "wave" or the "curve" or even the "front seat toilet" type
things.
This whole concept that I am going into here has, however, all been covered
extensively in the archives.
As for the repository of Vanagon info... I think EVERYBODY would love to get
this organized in various formats. We have tried to get interested
"experts" to do feature articles on the vanagon.com site for specific
topics, also many of us have personal websites which have a great deal of
valuable info.
The various ways to organize and archive our valuable Vanagon information
has also, believe it or not, been covered extensively in the archives.
My personal solution for all this, is that I am trying to get all the good
info that has helped me in dealing with my 87 GL, and will be releasing a
website at some point to provide this info to the world.
I think your book idea is a good one... mine would probably be about as
thick as two complete Bentley manuals though.
In the meantime, keep reading, printing, and deleting!
See ya,

IMPORTANT!!! In order to reply to me, you must have the word "FISH"
somewhere in the subject line of the email. Otherwise it goes directly in
the trash.

As we all know there is a lot of trash that may be somehow related to
Vantages that appear on the list from time to time. Things like a Vanagon
wave or other stupid ideas like that only take time away from those people
who have real problems or suggestions or who want to help another Vanagoners
in need.
