Subject: VW keeps giving me expired head sealer!!!!!
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed
Here in lovely Knoxville Tn my local dealer keeps handing me expired 26G
tubes of the black sealant. I went back today because my patience is at its
end. Berofe I was smart enough to look for the expiration date at the
bottom fold of the tube i went 70 miles away to my father in laws garage
where my beloved 89 wolfie is in various stages of dissasembly. The big
thing holding me back is the istallation of the heads I have my engine out
along with the auto tranny to do various repairs. So my guy at the
dealership tells me today that he will call his suppliers at VW CORP in FLA
to hand inspect the tube and make damn sure that its not expired(but here is
the kicker) or he will give me to most recently expired tube if no current
tubes are available!!! BECAUSE THEY MAY NO LONGER BE AVAILAVBLE!! WHAT THE
FUCK IS THAT!? So this guy is telling me that all the older VW vehicle
owners are shit out of luck. Anyone having this problem or have had it? Im
curious about your responses . Roe 89 wolfie
