This sounds like a very interesting part of Germany. I am planning a stop
over in Germany next month en route from a solo Enfield ride in India. I am
pining to bring back a few old bullets to the US. If I survive the ride I
would like to hunt around for some parts etc for my 84 Westy. Can I expect
to find many junk yards and or sources in Germany for those hard to find
parts? It seems they would have quite a bit of junkers laying about. Keeping
in mind that everything is hard to find in Houston, what cool stuff might I
look for there? I think I can get a decent rate on freight as long as I am
not loading up that diesel crew cab I coveted the last time I was there. I
think it was going for 2200 Euros. Sigh.. Someone please tell me again why
it isn't feasible to import a German double cab.
Owen
