If the head unit does not have a sub-out, you'll have to look into the
issue of a crossover. You do not want frequencies higher than a hundred
or two Hertz going to the subs. You can get active or passive
crossovers. Active are usually a little nicer, and are inline at the
pre-amp outputs. Passive are wired between the sub and the amp, and are
cheaper. Radio shack will have both kinds if you're not into spending $$.
